Recently learned that my Five Pieces for String Quartet will be performed at two 2017 festivals: the Eighteenth Biennial Festival of New Music at FSU (February 2-4) and the Society of Composers National Conference at Western Michigan (April 1).
I'm excited to write a new piece for ENSEMBLE MISE-EN, which the wonderful Yumi Suehiro will premiere in April 2017 at MISE-EN PLACE in Bushwick. The piece is part of my Calder Project, a collection of ten solo piano pieces written over the course of ten years for ten different pianists. I'm only on piece #2, but I still have eight years to finish the entire project!
Preview my new split tape cassette with composer Branic Howard! It'll be officially coming out later in 2016.
I am happy to be joining the Music Theory and Composition faculty at West Chester University of Pennsylvania! I will be teaching courses in Music Theory, Musicianship, and Music Appreciation starting in Fall 2016.
